I gave a lot of my life to Spain, and I don't regret it, but I am glad that I left and decided it was time to move on. I will always love the country and return to visit and vacation, but I realized after a while, Spain isn't my forever. We get along so well, but there are some major differences between us, and we're not a perfectly compatible match. 

It's a wonderful country, full of geographical and cultural diversity, as well as delicious food, great people, and a vibe that invites you in and causes you to keep staying. As my best friend likes to say, "We knew she was going for six months, which was ok, but then...TWO + YEARS!?!" Whoops. ;)
