There's a lot I've still not seen, but here's what I've got to share!
In all, I lived in Spain for just over three years...
Nine months in in Getxo (Bilbao, Basque Country) from 2009-2010,
15 months in Sevilla (AndalucÃa),
Two months in Mallorca (Islas Baleares),
Eight months in Écija (AndalucÃa) from 2013-2015.

Ended up sleeping on an island to ourselves the first night in Tavira, then invited to stay in someone's house on the beach in Faro the next night. I gave a lot of my life to Spain, and I don't regret it, but I am glad that I left and decided it was time to move on. I will always love the country and return to visit and vacation, but I realized after a while, Spain isn't my forever. We get along so well, but there are some major differences between us, and we're not a perfectly compatible match.
It's a wonderful country, full of geographical and cultural diversity, as well as delicious food, great people, and a vibe that invites you in and causes you to keep staying. As my best friend likes to say, "We knew she was going for six months, which was ok, but then...TWO + YEARS!?!" Whoops. ;)
