Moving to Massachusetts, or Something

In case you've been wondering where I've been, here's a Real Quick Recap...
I spent all of October on the East Coast (I think?), and wow what a time it was!
I was in Miami for about 10 days, where I spent endless hours eating some of the most amazing food I've ever eaten, drinking beautiful cocktails full of infusions of this and essence of that, celebrating Rosh Hashana with my new Jewish-ish family, and finding out what it's like to vacation with my partner and his clan. We went to some of the most amazing places in Miami, like Bâoli, where they light parts of the bar and ground on fire, invite you to dance on said flaming bar and on the tables, pass around giant sparklers (amazing idea, really, handing out massive sparklers to drunk people while there's fire going down the length of the bar), play all kinds of songs from all kinds of countries, and have some of the best food the city can offer. It didn't hurt that there was a group there celebrating a bachelorette party, or two tables full of models, or that we ourselves were a large, loud, energetic and celebratory group of Israelis (+ the Token American that's also loud and energetic, AKA yours truly). It was one of those nights where I almost didn't go out because I was so tired and full from the previous nights, but decided to just hack it, and ended up having one of the greatest times ev.er. Go to Bâoli if you're in Miami, you won't regret it - incredible atmosphere, incredible food, incredible drinks. Yes. All around, yes!
Another top spot we experienced was SeaSalt. A restaurant/bar on the water, with boat parking for people to pull up in their yachts. And yes, the restaurant actually offers service to those who pull up with their boats. Quite the scene. Veeery Miami! Though I doubt anything could even compare to the delicious Israeli place we ate at three, maybe four times in one week, Hummus Asli. (Go for the hummus sabich!) I have it from good sources that it's "Hummus, like in Israel." AuthenticAsFudge y'all.
It was quite the epic experience, and I'm still trying to return to Earth from that high-vibe time. So much laughter, good food, fun, and embracing sights, sounds, and tastes. A real sensory experience! And yes, I was there for the hurricane, also very exciting. We actually got really lucky it didn't hit there, but went and holed up for safety anyways at what is said to be a hurricane-proof hotel, that happened to be right on the beach. Hmm...
From Miami, it was time to work a little bit again, so I flew up to Baltimore, got an Uber to D.C., stayed a night, then was off to Maryland again. For some reason I can't remember the name of where we stayed, but the important thing is this: we were working at the Power Boat Show in Annapolis, and Annapolis, MD, totally stole my heart! What a place!
The location for this event was by far the coolest of any event I've done since starting this job, and it got my fire going! We were on the docks at the marina, right in the middle of the historic downtown. Shops and restaurants lined all the streets, and because of the boat show, it was so alive! Such a darling and beautiful city Annapolis is, what a blessing to have spent some time there! And, the event went really well, which is always a good thing. Yay for boat shows!
After wrapping up the event and spending another night in D.C., I continued my route further north, and flew to Boston to meetup with my little sister for a week of visiting her! I got to meet her now FIANCE! YESSSS!!! And we got to spend some awesome time together just hanging out. I went to her epic church with her on Sunday, and we slipped in many-a study/work sessions, which we both really needed. It was such a great trip, and we got relatively lucky with the weather. It only started to really turn cold when I was leaving, so we were able to enjoy some time walking around the city (Boston).
Oh Boston, another place I completely love. One of the best cities I've ever been in. The East Coast is so cool to me, being a West Coast-er. And it kinda lives up to all the sterotypes we hold of it, although I did not experience ANY rude people after I left Miami. ;) hehe. And! My darling surprised me one night with an incredible dinner at Top of the Hub, which is on the 52nd floor of the Prudential Building, overlooking all the city. I could cry thinking about the flavors, and it was just such a beautiful sight, all the city lights. I've always been a sucker for that!
But I cannot leave out a mention of Trattoria da Maria in the North End. WOW! I had the pumpkin ravioli, and again, could cry it was so good. I couldn't stop putting my fork down to just fully absorb the amazing moment.
*Sorry not too sorry about the trend of this post being "We ate there," and, "This restaurant is so amazing." When I go somewhere new, I want to experience the flavors of the place. And you've gotta eat several times a day anyways (not always! Fasting is so good for us!), so it kinda works out perfectly! Eat on, yo!
I'd been in Boston once before, after my sister and I drove 4,500 miles across the country last summer to deliver her to seminary, and it captivated me all over again on this most recent trip. Plus, it's where I fly back to tomorrow morning and will be posted for the next month and a half (ok, not in the city, about 20-40 mins from it, but still) with work, so...yep!
And that my beloveds is a VERY quick flash as to where I've been (mostly what I've eaten) since the end of September! Finally had myself a nice, long vacation-ish, and now I will dive right on into the busiest time of year for the company: Christmas season! Bring it on!
I feel very good these days, have practiced yoga every day for the last 27 straight (after I wrap this post up and hit my mat that is) - something I'm very proud of, as it's been a long time since that happened, and am just really happy. It feels good to feel good, and I'm letting gratitude saturate my soul.
I've got an exciting post going live on Wednesday (whoa, two in one week, I know!), so stay tuned and check back!
PS. Let's get some convo going? What's up in your lives? How are you feeling these days? Where are you at with your practices? Where are you at with your health? Let's engageee!
Sending, per usual, wonderful loads of Blessings, Love, Light & Wonder to youuuu
LOVE YOU FOR WHO YOU ARE!
